On-Site Live Scan for Torrance Employers: A Planning Checklist
If you manage a business in Torrance and several new hires need fingerprinting, sending each person to a separate appointment can eat days of schedule. Mobile Live Scan lets the fingerprinting happen at your workplace instead. Here is a checklist for the person coordinating it, whether that is HR, an office manager or an owner.
Step one: confirm what each person needs
Before anything is booked, find out which agency is requesting each person's fingerprints. Different roles can involve different agencies and different forms. Ask the agency or licensing body, not us, whether Live Scan is required for the role. We do not decide who needs it. Once you know, you can group people by the form they need.
Step two: collect the paperwork
Each person brings their own:
The agency's Live Scan Request form, completed with the agency's codes and their personal details.
A valid government-issued photo ID.
A way to pay the applicable fees. The form or the requesting agency can tell you what those are.
A coordinator can save a lot of trouble by reviewing the forms a few days ahead. If a code looks wrong or a field is empty, send the person back to the requesting agency. We cannot choose codes or fill in agency details for anyone.
Step three: prepare the space
You do not need a special room, but a few things help:
A quiet area with a table or counter and access to an electrical outlet.
Enough room for one person at a time to stand comfortably at the equipment.
A place near a sink or restroom so people can wash their hands before and after.
A spot for the next person to wait that is out of the way.
Tell us about parking and building access when you book so we can arrive without delay.
Step four: schedule around the workday
A group session works best when people are not all pulled off the floor at once. Stagger names across the time window so that each person has a short slot. For a Torrance business that runs shifts, mention early or late hours, and we will see what is possible, including after-hours options when available.
Step five: remind people on the day
A short message the morning of the appointment helps: bring the original form, bring your ID, wash your hands without heavy lotion, and keep the receipt or transaction number you are given. Employers often ask for that number later.
What we do and do not handle
We capture prints accurately and submit them according to the form each person brings. We do not interpret background check outcomes, we cannot see results, and we cannot promise any result. Questions about a specific result go to the agency that requested it.
