Long Beach Mobile Notary: Your Questions Answered Before Booking

Long Beach is a big city with many neighborhoods, workplaces and homes, and plenty of people who cannot easily leave them in the middle of the day. If you are weighing whether a mobile notary makes sense, these are the questions we hear most, with plain answers.

Where can a mobile notary meet me in Long Beach?

Wherever it is practical and appropriate for the signing: your home, your office, a hospital room, a coffee shop, a hotel lobby, or another agreed spot. The signer needs to be present and have a table or flat surface to write on. Tell us the location when you book so we can plan the travel time.

What do I need to have ready?

Three things cover most appointments:

  • A valid photo ID that a California notary can accept. The name on the ID should match the name on the document closely.

  • The complete document. Blank fields or missing pages are a common reason a notary has to decline.

  • Every person who must sign, present at the same appointment.

If the document came from an agency, court, lender or attorney, keep any instructions they sent. They often say which signature needs notarizing and where.

Can you tell me which notarization I need?

No. Choosing the notarial act is not something a notary may do for you, and we cannot give legal advice. If the document has a certificate already printed on it, we complete what is there. If it does not, the agency or attorney who requested it should tell you what wording they require. Sorting this out before the appointment saves everyone time.

What if the person signing is not with me?

Then the notarization cannot happen. A notary can only notarize a signature from someone who appears in front of them and is identified. We cannot take a signature on someone's behalf or notarize a document the signer is not there to sign. If a signer is elsewhere, the usual solution is to arrange for us to meet them in person at their own location.

Does the notary read and approve my document?

We do not review it for legal content, and we do not tell you whether it is a good idea to sign. Our job is to confirm identity, make sure the signer is acting willingly, complete the notarial certificate, and record the act in our journal. If you have questions about what the document means, ask an attorney or the party that provided it.

When should I book?

As soon as you know you need a notary. If you have a deadline, say so on the call, and we will tell you honestly what is possible. Appointments for evenings and weekends may be available, so mention the times that work for you.

Is Live Scan available in Long Beach too?

Yes, we also bring mobile Live Scan fingerprinting to people and workplaces around Los Angeles. If you need fingerprints, bring the agency's request form with its codes, a valid ID, and a way to pay the applicable fees. We do not decide eligibility and we do not see results.

Whether you live near the waterfront or farther inland, reach out with your address area and what you are signing, and we will go from there.
